Make your City smart TODAY
A smart city is a framework, using Web 3.0 technologies to develop, deploy, and promote sustainable development practices, to improve operational efficiency, share information with the public and provide a better quality of government service and citizen welfare. The main goal of a smart city is to optimize city functions and promote economic growth while also improving the quality of life for citizen. The value lies in how this technology is used rather than simply how much technology is available.
Within the smart city, citizens engage with smart city ecosystems in various ways using smartphones and mobile devices and connected cars and homes. Pairing devices and data with a city’s physical infrastructure and services can cut costs and improve sustainability. Communities can improve energy distribution, streamline trash collection, decrease traffic congestion, and improve air quality with help from the Web 3.0
What is a SmartCity?
We cannot talk about a SmartCity in all its power without first talking about digitization and artificial intelligence. To truly understand the benefits of a smart city, we need to realize that the key driver of a smart city is actually data, and this data needs to be processed and correlated. This is where artificial intelligence comes in to process, correlate and process. The SmartCity is environmentally friendly and built for citizens, is built by correlating the interactions of the human factor with artificial intelligence.
If we look at every city, we see that these cities have been built in the last century for the benefit of cars, for the benefit of industries and not for the benefit of citizens, so it is not surprising that we are now faced with a multitude of negative effects such as pollution, traffic jams, lack of parking, etc. Today’s city has not developed properly, it is still in the age of the bronze age.
Financial, administrative, public and local systems are outdated and no longer meet today’s requirements. With all of us still bumping into standing in queues for a simple certificate with files full of paperwork, paperwork that is often missing a paper that is taken from another administration in another district, where of course you stand in another queue and the employees there are overwhelmed with questions and angry people taking out their frustration on them, and all because we have a broken system, we are still living in the era of the file stuffed with demand upon demand and the list could go on.
Statistics say that 99.7% of employees are stressed. And we as a city, as a city administration, what do we do? Do we stress them more, with an outdated and cumbersome system full of mistakes? And yes, it can be done differently, Estonia is an example. In Estonia, all public administration, all processes, have been digitized. The result is fascinating, they save 800 years of people’s life per year with only 1.3 million inhabitants. How much time could we save in country with an even bigger population?
Look at nature and the complex system of the human body. The human body is full of nerves and sensors that communicate with each other. For example, the moment you cut your finger, you feel pain and bleeding starts. Immediately a message is sent to the brain and actions start, injured capillaries get instructions to shrink to reduce blood flowing, our immune system sends its special troops in the form of white blood cells, to eliminate the intrusion of bacteria and cell are instructed to close the wound.
Just like the human body, the city is a complex organism. Perhaps we as citizens don’t realize this. But if we risk a look behind the scenes, we see that in a city we have all kinds of networks.
Just a few examples of networks:
What makes a SmartCity smart? They use intelligent solutions to optimize infrastructure, and responsive governance to engage citizens in the management of their city. Having systems of sensors, networks, and applications able to collect useful data, like traffic congestion, energy use, and CO2 levels and so on. This data is used by the municipality to improve a city, including its transportation, buildings, utilities, environment, infrastructure, and public services.
“Think big but start small” is exactly how a smart city will be built. We don’t have to make a fantastic investment to build a SmartCity. The adaptability and flexibility of the architecture must be BIG, but once the soft architecture is in place, the sensors can be installed step by step.
Connect with MeetPlace All-in-One Ecosystem
The SmartCity depends on digital connections gathering, analyzing and processing data, automatically execute Smart Contracts to optimize city functions, create economic growth and improving the quality of life for citizen.
The MeetPlace All-in-One Ecosystem can connect with entities, internally within the ecosystem and externally with other platforms, using Smart Agents. Those Smart Agents are trained to extract, analyze and process data and hand over the processed data to Data Wallets, other Smart Agents are trained to compare, analyze and process collected data and are able to execute tasks, depending on the type of data or the results of data. Tasks could be reporting, statistics, execute Smart Contracts.
This is one sample of connections, imagine thousands and thousands of connections, such as street light network, sewage network, power network, traffic control network, educational & health network and so on. The data extracted, analyzed and processed from those connection, can give you data of water quality, traffic jams, air pollution, power outages, educational quality, flu epidemics, etc. But also, all types of violations, like environmental, traffic.
Data from entities, combined and analyzed, stored in Data Wallets and last but not least automatically processed and executed, will make any entity smart, used in a company, the company will be a Smart Company, used in a city, the city will be a Smart City. Eventually on a much bigger scale, used in a country, the country will be a Smart Country.
MeetPlace Technology has started to develop individual, secured and decentralized programs, protocols and platforms on Blockchain technology, and connecting those using Web 3.0 technology with integrated AI to not only make companies smart but cities too.
